Hey guys, I think it would be a great idea to list our favorite directories here and create a reference point for people looking to up their page rank and search engine position. Anyways, I will start it off with a general link to some of the best directories out there. Feel free to post more that are general or for particular niches.

Here are a couple I have used in the past:

The later one is really well maintained and even has segments for niche directories and such. Probably one of the most respected directory lists out there.

This one you mentioned: http://www.best-web-directories.com/free-directories.htm, I think I will try that when I relaunch my business. It looks like a good directory resource. I will have to find this link I used to use to post on here too. It has many directories that do not require a backlink and things.

Yeah I actually like that one. I found it one day and went through it with aa new site and had good luck with getting listed quickly on many of the listings. It also did not have a high number of bait-and-switch directories who claim they are too busy for fre listings and must now charge.
