I just discovered a new feature in Google Adsense...the ability to exclude competitor websites! This is a great improvement on an already good service.
Another new feature is improved tracking of ad performance. The new system makes it easier to track performance over the different channels / websites.

Yes the competitior filter is nice. I don't use it often, but I do have one website where there are a selection of ads that cause me issues with some other affiliations for the site. Being able to filter them out is very useful.

Yeah, I like that google is always adding something to make it better. I havent used the competitive ad filter, but it can be used for things other than just filtering out competition. You can also use channels and such to test out which ads are delivering the lowest revenue and filter those out. I've never done it myself, but the option is always out there.

| So with this competitor blocking feature, what exactly are you blocking your competitors from?

| I believe they changed the name of this feature to "Site Exclusion". Basically, it prevents your ads from running on specific sites, most commonly used to prevent them from running on competitor's sites.
